How to set up your Virosmart fogging machine for fighting Viruses

Using a fogging machine is perhaps the quickest and easiest way to kill viruses efficiently. In order to do this effectively it is essential you follow a two simple steps.

• Use a disinfectant that is proven to kill viruses

This is relatively obvious, however not all disinfectants will kill viruses. Look for one that has been tested and proven to work. Our Virosol disinfectant has been proven effective against many enveloped viruses such as MRSA,  Coronaviruses (human and feline), Strangles, Ringworm and many more.

• Set the right micron size

It is essential to set the right micron size on your ULV fogging machine to kill viruses. Too small microns and the disinfectant will take too long to settle on surfaces and too large and you will not kill any virus particles in the air. Research has shown that the optimum particle size is 12 microns. To set this on your Virosmart fogging machine turn the settings dial to 2. If using a different fogging machine, ensure it is capable of creating this micron size and refer to the instruction manual.

Although the following steps will ensure you are killing most of the viruses particles, some virus particles in the air are smaller than 0.3 microns and might escape the fog. To protect from any surviving virus particles, we recommend regular fogging especially in areas where there is a known outbreak.
